…and as I continue my post on Fan Expo, a little more about our trip. Once we finally got through the ticket line (there has to be a better system for that, doesn’t there guys?) we hustled in to see if we could still get a photo op with Amanda. There was a really super nice and understanding guy selling the tickets and after my husband explained the chaos to him and that Amanda re-enlisted him in the Navy six years ago and he hadn’t seen her since, he let us through since there was a small chance we could still see her. As you can see, we did make it through the line.
Like I said in the previous post, she is a really super sweet and an incredibly nice woman. If you have the chance to meet her sometime, say hello – you won’t be disappointed.
The team spend some time wandering through the dealer’s room and chi-chatting with people, posing for pictures, etc. We did locate some odd ‘runes’ which we spent some time trying to translate.
Unfortunately, to our dismay, our technology was hampered and not able to get good readings at our location. We took photo documentation of our findings and trudged along. There were lots of odd things to investigate including life forms that were most certainly not of this world.
It was so nice to run into some old friends and meet in person (finally!) some online friends. Next time, we really have to coordinate better so we have an even larger SG group!
Hubby and I are in the process of finding a new place to live in the next thirty days, so while I had every intention of starting on Vala’s bdu top, it may have to wait. I also still need to do some modifications to my beautiful hand device so it fits better. Lots to do, but it’s that pesky real life stuff getting in the way again. 😛
Thanks to everyone that showed us love at Fan Expo, it’s awesome to see that Stargate is still very much alive and well in the hearts of so many! Until next time!
