Vala’s Black Leather Costume Continued…

Apparently my images never uploaded from August and I’ve sort of been on hiatus since CreationCon in Chicago.  For those interested, my hiatus has included spending time with my munchkin that’s growing way too fast and working on an Aeryn Sun costume – plus all the normal boring ‘adult’ things.  🙂

So the black leather costume, overall it is a beautiful piece but there are some serious fit issues.  I’m still working with the maker to see what we can do, if anything.  The bust is the worst problem and I don’t know there’s much that can be done (because I am not getting a boob job so I can fill it out 😛 ).  Currently, I have to wear it with the coat and and tape myself in and that was never the intention.  I wanted it to fit correctly so I didn’t have to wear the coat to have it look alright.

Some of the seams and lines are not accurate and apparently we had a little lack of communication but like I said, the craftsmanship is impeccable but I am a stickler for details and accuracy and this just wasn’t quite there…hopefully we can figure it out though…I’m hopeful.

I have a few Vala costumes started, so my plan is to TRY (operative word being try) to finish those before I start anything new this year.
