This year was a pretty low-key Halloween, but good all the same. After spending Saturday working on the house, we headed out to our friends the Cole’s for a Halloween party. Sarah always has a great spread and the company is always enjoyable.
As much as I’d have loved to wear something more elaborate my motivation was gone after working all day on the house (plus a lot is still in storage)! Haha! But I did through on my blacks – comfy, practical and easy to wear! Ryan threw on his Atlantis costume and even though there weren’t many of us dressed up, we had a great time!
Two of our friends that suffered and sweat with us Friday and again on Saturday were also in attendance at the shindig. Liz is so creative, she went dressed as a school portrait and her husband David as the creepy photographer – classic!
With hurricane Sandy beating down on our coast our town’s Halloween was actually postponed until Sunday afternoon. Thankfully our area wasn’t hit hard at all. Some heavy wind and rain and a few power outages but nothing like some of the areas saw.
Although I’m excited to get in to our new house (slow but sure!) I am disappointed that we’re out a ways from town and we won’t see trick or treaters – Mom’s house is just far enough outside of town that she doesn’t get any either. Guess I’ll have to crash someone’s house from now on to hand out treats. 😉
Hope everyone had or will have a safe, happy, fun Halloween!
